2011 Studio Of The Year

2011 Lifetime Achievement Award
With more than 27 years in the business, John Stagliano is an actor and director, best known for his Buttman series of films. Stagliano set out to create a home where directors could distribute their films while still holding on to the rights, which he did with the founding of the studio Evil Angel. Its current roster of award-winning directors includes John Leslie, BellaDonna, Rocco Siffredi, Joey Silvera, Jonni Darkko, Manuel Ferrara, Brian Pumper, Jay Sin, Christoph Clark, Jake Malone, Nacho Vidal and Cruel Media, each of who brings their own brand and style to the studio's content.
In 2008, the US Federal government charged Stagliano with multiple charges of obscenity, all of which were dismissed at trial in 2010. In the wake of that decision, Stagliano was hailed by the industry for his grace under fire and for his unrelenting commitment to protecting the First Amendment.
